I love ice cream. It may just may be my favorite thing. My daughter has inherited this love of all things frozen and creamy as well. Nature vs. nurture? I'm not sure, but Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough is one of her favorite flavors so I made a batch recently as a late birthday present.
This recipe is adapted from from Ben & Jerry's Homemade Ice Cream & Dessert Book written by the masters of ice cream. The sweet cream base is delicious and is the perfect jumping off point for whatever you ice cream concoction you can come up with. I'm thinking my next batch will be a mix of toasted almond chunks, chocolate chips, with a hint of almond extract replacing the vanilla. Yum!
